Here + There.

Friday, October 12

Things have been ridiculously crazy lately! Working four to five days a week with a full load of school and music to be learned is quite overwhelming. I've been learning a lot about trusting the Lord and leaning on Jesus for strength and understanding.

I have been doing a whole lot of reading for my classes. I'm currently reading Systematic Theology by Wayne Grudem (pictured here),  Worshipping Trinity by Robin Parry, Handbook on the Pentateuch by Victor Hamilton, From Creation to the Cross by Albert Baylis, Listen by Joseph Kerman and Gary Tomlinson and The Space Trilogy by C. S. Lewis. I love everything I'm reading - it's just hard to find all the time to complete the reading!

I've gone crazy for the Hard Pumpkin Cider from Ace. It's spicy and sweet and incredibly delicious.

We finally got a couch for our new apartment so it finally feels like home again! It's nice to have a living room. Now on to those nasty blinds!

My best friend, Aly from Idaho sent me this cute card. We love snail mail!

Last but definitely not least is my sweet P-Bass. I have been playing the bass like crazy lately. I've been practicing for auditions at my church. Auditions were last night and I had decided to go in and act like I was just jamming with friends. That is just what I did! It was so much fun and I nailed the bass solo (Lost it for a second but recovered well!). I didn't even have to play the second song. Even if I did terribly at the audition, I would still be incredibly happy because I've realized how much I've learned in the last month or so. I have grown so much on the bass and I'm very blessed to see improvement in my skills. I've also regained such a love and passion for the instrument.
