Benjamin and I are in a book club at our school, Multnomah University Reno-Tahoe. The book club was started out of our Life and Thought of C. S. Lewis class. We're currently reading through Till We Have Faces. We wanted to have a name similar to the Inklings or the pub Lewis and friends met in, The Eagle and Child. Jordan had suggested The Pigeon and Squirrel because of the infestation of such creatures at our campus. It's humorous, cool, and unique.
We were originally going to have someone else do the sign for us. When they couldn't, we took over. Benjamin spray painted the sign black and then went over the outside edge with a nice gold. I worked up the lettering based off of British pub signs I found online. And there it is.
I was kind of proud. For two amateurs, I think it looks really good. Maybe we should start a sign business in Reno. :)
